PESHAWAR / QUETTA — August 27, 2026 — Security forces neutralized 11 terrorists during a series of high-intensity, intelligence-based operations (IBOs) executed across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The synchronized strikes were part of the military’s ongoing security campaign aimed at dismantling foreign-backed militant networks.
Targeted Intelligence Operations in KP and Khuzdar
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security personnel conducted precise raids in Bannu and the Ladha area of South Waziristan following actionable intelligence. Forces targeted established hideouts, killing two militants in Bannu and five in South Waziristan while seizing significant stockpiles of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
Simultaneously, in Balochistan, an operation in the Sasool area of Khuzdar district led to four additional terrorists being killed. Military sources confirmed that quadcopters were utilized to track and pinpoint insurgent movements prior to ground forces moving in.
Official Commendations and National Security Resolve
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued joint commendations praising security personnel for the successful raids in KP and Balochistan. Both leaders reiterated that eliminating foreign-sponsored proxy networks remains vital for national stability, ensuring that civil and military authorities will maintain pressure until border regions are fully secured.
