Pakistan has earned global recognition as Muhammad Hashir, a student from Balochistan Residential College Loralai, secured a bronze medal at the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2025 held in Sirius, Russia. The event, which ran from November 23 to December 2, brought together young scientific talent from 80 countries to compete in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Hashir’s strong performance highlighted his analytical skills and scientific understanding, placing Pakistan proudly among top-performing nations.

He was part of a six-member Pakistani team selected through a rigorous national process organized by the Pakistan Science Foundation and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The delegation included students from KP, Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, and the Federal region, each representing the country in both theoretical and experimental rounds of the competition.

The International Junior Science Olympiad is considered a prestigious platform for developing and showcasing young scientific talent worldwide. Pakistan’s participation reflects its growing commitment to strengthening STEM education and encouraging youth involvement in global competitions.
